We work with each bride and groom to create the wedding that best suits them.

Our beautiful accommodation is included in the price of your wedding. The luxury villa sleeps up to 30 and is set within the 20 acre estate – there is a large swimming pool, olive groves, restaurant, a variety of outdoor games, complementary WIFI and stunning views. Pian Di Cascina is centrally located and  ideal for visiting Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Spello and Todi.

PIAN DI CASCINA WEDDING - for 30 people - includes

·         1 weeks self-catering accommodation (Saturday to Saturday) at our luxury farmhouse villa, Pian Di Cascina in beautiful Umbria (for 30 of your friends and family)

 ·         Exclusive use of all the facilities at Pian Di Cascina, the stunning swimming pool and 20 acres of private grounds.

 ·         An Italian Civil Marriage Ceremony in the town hall in Gubbio (Including the reservations, town hall fees and organisation)

 ·         Use of the terrace at the garden restaurant for the afternoon & evening of the wedding

         If you wish to invite extra guests, hotel rooms in Gubbio (4 *) are available from €75 per night.    
         Alternatively B&B’s can be booked from €50 per person per night including breakfast.

If you wish to have an evening meal at the villa, delicious Italian fork buffet options start for around €20 - €25 a head. Full service meals are €30-€40 a head depending on the menu.

For weddings held in April, May and September, you should expect to spend from €9,000 for an intimate wedding  – all extra services, such as flowers, photography and transport are at an additional charge – we are more than happy to provide estimates for you for extra services or bespoke weddings.

ABOUT GUBBIO

Gubbio is the best preserved medieval town in Umbria and is often spoken about as the ‘Umbrian Siena’. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside and nestled into the Apennine mountainside. It was a city of the ancient Umbrians (founded in the 3^rd century BC) and many consider Gubbio was both the political and religious centre of Umbria. In Roman times, Gubbio was known as Iguvium. People from Gubbio call themselves ‘Eugubine’.

Gubbio is famous for the festival of the Ceri (May 15^th), The Crossbow festival (last Sunday in May) and the biggest Christmas tree in the world. (Set on the slopes of Monte Ingino-it consists of 800 lights and 20km of cable and is lit from December 7^th until January 10^th). Gubbio is also famous for black and white truffles-There is a White truffle fair every year in the Piazza Quantanta Marteri (end of October/beginning of November).

By far the best way to see Gubbio is to park in the Roman Amphitheatre car park and work your way up the steep, cobbled medieval streets taking in the sights on the way. The perfect ending to your day is a breathtaking ride up the Funivia, (funicular ) to enjoy outstanding views of the countryside surrounding Gubbio. 

THE TOWN HALL (typical location for the civil wedding ceremony)

The town hall is in the Piazza Grande right in the centre of the medieval walled town. The town hall is opposite the Palazzo dei Consoli (Palace) and after the ceremony you exit straight out into the piazza, which boasts stunning, elevated views of Gubbio and the valley below. The ceremony is held in the grand hall, which has beautiful vaulted stone ceilings, light from 3 sides and hand carved oak chairs. (The venue for the ceremony has a lovely historical feel – it is an ancient building that almost feels like a church – it is a fantastic location for the ceremony. Unlike many town halls in Italy, there is plenty of space for a traditional walk down the aisle.)

THE GARDEN TERRACE RESTAURANT

The garden restaurant is a 2 minute walk from the Piazza Grande and the town hall. The restaurant is surrounded by medieval architecture, lush green planting and colourful flowers. In warm weather the terrace is open on all sides and covered by an elegant white canopy, to ensure guests do not suffer from the heat of the sun. Tables are elegantly dressed with white cloths, silver candelabras and elegant silver and glassware. The whole effect is breathtaking and very romantic.  As night falls the garden becomes a sea of twinkling lights and flickering candles. It would be hard to find a more perfect setting for a wedding celebration.

ABOUT UMBRIA

Umbria lies at the very heart of Italy. It has some of the most beautiful countryside to be found in Italy, as well as some of the most interesting towns.
Often described as ‘mystical’, ‘serene’ and ‘enchanted,’ Umbria maintains a quiet otherworldliness. Umbria is a combination of mountains (53%) and hills (41%) with the balance being the flat terrain in one of the central valleys. The capital Perugia, is a city of great antiquity with numerous works of art. Lago Trasimeno, near Maggione is the largest lake on the Italian peninsula, but still retains its natural beauty and breathtaking views. Gubbio, Spello, Todi and Spoleto remain among the most attractive and best preserved small medieval towns in Italy.
Orvieto, with its magnificent cathedral has a spectacular position 315m high, overlooking the valley on a craggy rock. Assisi is world famous as the birthplace of St Francis.
Umbria is located next to Tuscany and the Marche region and is an ideal location from which to visit the famous Tuscan towns of Siena, Florence, Montalcino and Montepulciano or the beaches of Sirolo in Marche.

ABOUT PIAN DI CASCINA

Pian di Cascina is a renovated 17th century Umbrian farmhouse villa, set in 20 acres of idyllic countryside. We are an oasis of rest and relaxation, in the midst of olive groves, fig, fruit, walnut and oak trees. At an altitude of 600m asl, you can experience a moderate, more refreshing climate, even on the hottest summer's day. We offer luxury accommodation in 7 properties all with separate entrances, private terraces, fully equipped modern kitchens, king sized beds with crisp linens and modern bathrooms with power showers and fluffy towels. We produce our own extra virgin olive oil, grow raspberries and organic herbs, fruit and vegetables and sunflowers.

We are mid-way between the historic towns of Assisi (35 mins drive) and Gubbio (25 mins drive) and have panoramic views of the Apennine mountains and valley of Valfabbrica.

There are many walking routes , bikes available to borrow, a large 16m x 8m swimming pool and several local restaurants. The nearest town of Carbonesca is a picturesque 25 minute walk and has 2 bars, a general store and lively festas in late summer. The local town of Casacastalda (5mins drive or 45 mins walk) is a traditional walled village and has a fantastic local cheese shop, a bakery, good Umbrian butchers, 2 grocery shops, tennis courts, a post office, chemist and several bars-in fact, everything you need to stock up for a week or 2!

FACILITIES

In addition our fantastic pool with a view, there is a selection of outdoor activities available, such as badminton, boule and bikes to hire.

La Tavernetta, our restaurant is open to guests of the villa only and offers delicious gourmet meals using ingredients from our organic gardens.

If you don’t fancy cooking, but wish to relax with a meal in your villa, a range of handmade pasta dishes can be ordered at any time for you to enjoy.

Freshly baked bread and croissants can be ordered for delivery daily (except Sundays) in time for breakfast.

We offer a range of homemade jams and marmalades, our own organic olive oil and fresh raspberries grown on the farm (in season) for you to enjoy.

We provide a comprehensive guest guide in every villa with maps and details of local walks, suggestions for days out sightseeing and hints and tips about how to get the most from your stay in Umbria.

Pian Di Cascina is a really lovely place to hold your wedding, we do hope you decide to stay with us!

Pian di Cascina is only 1.5 km from the village of Casa Castalda, which has a variety of shops including, a butchers, cheese shop, bakers and 2 grocery stores and a short walk from Carbonesca, which has 2 bars and a small shop. The farm is nestled in the hills of Valfabbrica. The wonderful medieval town of Gubbio is only 20 minutes drive away and Assisi is a 15 km picturesque drive from the house.
The property is ideally placed for several airports. The nearest one at Perugia is only half an hour’s drive away, Ancona is less than 1 hour away and Rome is 2 hours from the farm. (Ryan Air fly to all 3 airports)

We can arrange for a specialist wedding cake of your choosing along with delivery to your reception venue.

We can arrange for a classic/vintage chauffeur driven car to transport the Bride and Groom on the wedding day.

We can arrange for a celebratory fireworks display at Pian Di Cascina on the evening of your wedding.

Evening Celebrations
We can offer a range of celebrations for the evening of your wedding, including champagne & and light bites, a Italian supper or a wine and cheese buffet.

Flowers
We are happy to recommend a local florist for bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and ceremony decorations. If you wish, we can liaise with the florist and coordinate your requirements for flowers and /or arrange for delivery to the wedding venues and Pian Di Cascina.

Hairdresser
We can arrange for a hairdresser for the bride, including a trial session.
We can also recommend/help book hairdressers for the wedding party.

Beautician
We can help organise a beautician for the bridal make-up and/or arrange for beauty treatments for bride before and on the wedding day.

Spa Treatments
There is a spa within 15 minutes drive of Pian Di Cascina that offers bridal packages and specialist treatments for the bride and groom to be.

Favours
We can organise and deliver, handmade wedding favours of your choosing (Bomboniere).
